Are there handling fees for tickets purchased to ATC shows?
Yes, there is a $2 per ticket fee. To avoid this fee, consider purchasing a Flex Pass. Additionally, no refunds are issued, though exchanges may occur -- subject to availability and a $4 per ticket exchange fee.
What happens if I'm late to a show?
To cause the least amount of disruption to the performance and to other patrons, if you arrive late you'll be seated at the discretion of the house manager & director. No seating is guaranteed after the start of the performance.
Are there any discounts?
Yes, ATC currently offers discounts for students, educators, and members of the US Military. These are available directly on the purchase page, with no coupon codes required.
PLEASE NOTE: All discounted pricing require a valid ID to be presented at Will Call the day of the performances for each ticket collected. Anyone without a proper ID will be charged for a regular price ticket.
- Student/Teacher pricing requires a school ID in good, legible condition. One ticket for each ID.
- Military pricing requires a Military ID or a Veteran designation on license. Active duty military is allowed to bring immediate family at this price. One ticket available for each Veteran ID.
- Partner pricing requires that you be a donor of the Arts and Science Council or WFAE, and have a current membership card. These are limited to 2 tickets per membership card.
Is the theater accessible to persons with disabilities?
Yes, ATC fully accessible to persons with disabilities. If you require wheelchair-accessible seating, please contact the Box Office at 704-342-2251. For more information on accessibility, click here. We recommend those with mobility issues arrive no later than 30 minutes prior to the performance to allow us ample time to assist you.
We offer American Sign Language Interpreted performances for each of our main stage performances.
Does the theater have listening devices?
Our musicals are amplified. We do not currently have a assisted listening device. We are seeking partners to add this feature to our theatre. If you are interested in lending support to this project, please contact Bennett Rich at email@example.com.
When are talkback discussions?
Post-show talkbacks with the cast and director are held after every Thursday performance, but are not generally included in the offering for musicals. Check the each show's page for details.
May I bring my children to the theater?
ATC offers a wide range of programming, and the age-appropriateness varies. ATC's general policy is that children under the age of 10 are not permitted in the theater.
Many of the ATC's shows are appropriate for teens. If you have questions about the age-appropriateness of any show, please refer to the show page on this website or call the Box Office at 704-342-2251.
What's your policy on cell phones and recording devices in the theater?
Cameras are not permitted in the theater.
The ringing of a cell phone can be quite distracting for both the audience and the performers. If you bring a cell phone into the theater, please turn it off before the performance begins. If you must use your cell phone at intermission, please remember to turn it off before re-entering the theater.
Do all shows have an intermission?
Most shows at ATC have at least one 15-minute intermission. On rare occasions, however, a show may be performed without intermission. Intermission information is listed on each show's page on this website and on the title page of your theater program.
What is the dress code at ATC?
At an ATC performance, you'll see all sorts of dress—from elegant cocktail attire to business casual to jeans. The rule of thumb is, wear what makes you feel most comfortable.
